The nearby town of Blair Atholl is home to one of the largest castles in Scotland, Blair Castle. The castle is open to the public and hosts a number of events throughout the year, such as the Blair Castle Horse Trials.

The village of Dalnacardoch is situated on the River Ericht, and is a popular spot for anglers and hikers. It is also home to a number of holiday parks, a caravan site and an Outdoor Adventure centre.

The village of Bridge of Ericht lies near to the A9 road, and provides a convenient stop for travelling further north to the Cairngorms and other parts of the Highlands.
