For the more intrepid, Ben Vrackie (841 metres) rises above the village. The area also boasts some ancient monuments dating back to Neolithic and Bronze Age times.

The area around Delvine, some three miles south of Glenfarg, is noted for its abundance of red squirrels, while nearby Ledgowan provides pleasant riverside walks and is home to an interesting variety of wildlife.

PH14 is in the 'lowlands' of Scotland, characterised by gentle rolling hills and lush green countryside. It is well served by good transport links including a direct rail link from Glasgow Queen Street to Perth in around one hour and thirty minutes. Perth itself has plenty to offer with numerous historical sites, theatres, galleries, cafes and pubs.
