One of the most visited attractions in Paisley is its historic abbey, which was once the centre of the old town. Built in the 12th century, the abbey has since been restored and now houses a variety of interactive exhibits. The town also has a number of parks and recreation areas, and a vibrant culture that includes traditional music and dancing.

The other major landmark in Paisley is its 20th century Town Hall. The building was opened in 1909 and houses the civic offices, as well as the tourism and leisure departments. There is a wide range of retail outlets in the area, catering to all types of shoppers.
