Drains between The Ark nursery, Featherstall Road and Stockton Street have been blocked for months. Large pools of water form in the road and people stood at bus stop or walking past get drenched when vehicle drive through the water. This has benn reported previously and nothing has been done.

Pot hole very deep with sharp edges due to edges of metal grid being exposed
Down Featherstall Road between Clay Street and Ashworth Drive
A number of other people have also hit the pot hole which has caused damage to their car
I had to replace my tire after it ripped through my side wall (unrepairable)

Blocked street drain, 23rd February
This happens every time there is heavy rain, drain is blocked solid with mud, so never drains away. Sometimes almost over the pavement, nearly on to residents doorstep.Badly needs clearing.

4feet diameter 3/4 inches depth, 17th February
The problem is much more like 30years. We ha filled them in at different times over the years. Cars do not cause too much damage. However the use of Heavy Goods Vehicles i.e Council Waste Wagons. are doing the most continuous damage.

Severe mud and stone deposits on road, 10th January
Once again, severe mud deposited on highway from Bovis site, do I need to remind Rochdale Highways dept of their enforcement responsibilities. A range of powers are available to the Police and the Highways Department, primarily the Highways Act 1980; and the Road Traffic Act 1988.
Highways Act 1980 Section 137 states “If a person, without lawful authority or excuse, in any way wilfully obstructs the free passage along a highway he is guilty of an offence”. Highways Act 1980 Section 148 “If without lawful authority or excuse a person deposits anything whatsoever on a highway to the interruption of any user of the highway he is guilty of an offence” Highways Act 1980.
Section 149 of the Highways Act states “if anything is deposited on the highway so as to constitute a nuisance/danger the Highway Authority can require the person who put it there to remove it forthwith”. Mud causes skidding and is therefore dangerous and a nuisance. I have reported this numerous times and nothing is being done, it is an accident waiting to happen.

Bovis homes exit, 3rd January
Extreme mud on road, sick of reporting this company, it now needs referring to GM Police rochdale highways seem toothless in dealing with this problem, first day back after site closure and already excessive mud on the road, it is a skid hazard to all other road users and especially cycles and motorcycles.

Blocked Drains, 22nd December
Whenever it rains everyone who walks past gets covered in water. I’ve had one coat already spoiled due to being drenched in road water. The drains are full at 2 points between the bus stop and Lidl turn off. Please stop water pooling on the road and stop people getting covered in water

Parking in double yellow lines obstructing junction, 17th October
Every day for several months. Morning and afternoon school drop off/collection this car parks here on the double yellow lines. Sometimes closer to the junction to Denhurst Rd. The positioning of the car makes it almost impossible to exit Denhurst road if congested and regularly causes the road to become blocked as cars cannot pass.

Poor repair to road by utility company, 8th February
I’ve had clothing ruined by this post hole and also damage to my front tyre. Why are these companies allowed to do such poor repairs which when they are eventually repaired cause significant issues to local traffic. The only road between littleborough and Rochdale is shocking and some urgent repairs need doing in a number of spots due to the damage it’s causing the vehicles. Please can you advise how I make a claim for the damage caused by this pot hole? Thank you

Overgrown grass verges and kerb weeds, 5th September
The grass verge on Stubley mill road, leading to estate hasn’t been cut for 2 years. It was cut regularly for the previous 18 years but suddenly stopped. The weeds are over growing the kerbs and the grass and shrubs are now totally concealing featherstall brooke. Children play around the Brooke and could fall in without realising there is water beneath.
