Open cracks in road, large potholes., 19th March

Tue, 19 Mar 2024 09:23:54 +0000
52.930167 -1.165232

The road surface on the A453 Queens Drive parallel to Meadows way is very damaged on both sides of the road. There are large, wide potholes that are causing cars to swerve around them and move over lane boundaries. The previous patches to fix have warped, causing an uneven and extremely bumpy road surface northbound. There are also large open cracks between the two lanes going northbound on the A453 parallel to Dunsil Drive before Riverside Way. This makes changing lanes difficult in a car, and dangerous for motorcycles who's wheels can easily get caught in these cracks. This has been an issue for at least 6 months, with damage getting worse with the recent the flooding.

No lights working, 3rd March

Sun, 03 Mar 2024 15:42:35 +0000
52.921235 -1.165277

There are no working lights, high or low level, from where the slip road from the Silverdale island joins the A52, right across Clifton bridge to the Thane road island. This is extremely dangerous as there is merging traffic and traffic changing lanes in a short stretch of road. I reported this issue in 2023, but it is now much worse, as there was previously a few lights working, but now there are none.

Bridge damaged, 25th February

Sun, 25 Feb 2024 13:24:46 +0000
52.928691 -1.169125

The bridge over this road is damaged with exposed metal work, it has looked this way for a long time (months-years) but the hole looks like it’s getting bigger. It can be seen as you go under the bridge travelling south on the ring road as you pass under the Derby road roundabout. It has been marked for repairs in the past but doesn’t seem to have changed. In this area there are also lots of left behind road work furniture (eg cones, signs) and blown out tyres on the side of the road. Thank you for your hard work in addressing these issues.

Blocked drain, 22nd February

Thu, 22 Feb 2024 11:03:34 +0000
52.923554 -1.165264

When there is heavy rain the drains take a long time to remove the water. The inside lane gets flooded and drivers either swerve it or drive through , sometimes unaware the puddle is there. The issue was resolved previously but appears to have returned.
