The postcode includes a wide range of housing options, ranging from large detached houses to semi-detached bungalows. The area is made up of seven villages, namely Weedon Bec, Stowe, Dodford, Ecton, Braunston, Flore and Yardley Gobion. In addition to this, the postcode district is also home to numerous large businesses, ranging from small factories and warehouses to bigger corporations in fields such as manufacturing, distribution, logistics and retail.

As well as being of historical significance, with the village of Weedon Bec playing a crucial role in the English Civil War – being the site of the Battle of Naseby in 1645 – the postcode district is home to a variety of shops, services, pubs, restaurants and recreational facilities. These include supermarkets, banks, churches and sports centres.

The picturesque village of Braunston is another highlight of the NN11 postcode, as it has plenty of shops and services, a local pub, a boat museum and a sailing centre. In addition, the postcode area offers a range of open spaces, including gardens, parks, lakes and meadows, as well as several informal walking routes. There is also a number of good schools in the vicinity, offering excellent quality education for children.
