Car-owners in the area benefit from easy access to the A1 which contributes to local commerce. The postcode also serves a range of cycle routes, commuting, and shopping options.

The area has strong transport connections, with nearby train and metro stations including Newcastle Central Station, Metrocentre and Manors Station, providing access to major cities, including London. A number of bus routes run through the area providing residents with access to other destinations.

Additionally, the area offers easy access to tons of attractions, art galleries, museums, and cultural institutions, together with major services and activities such as music venues, which contribute to the public's cultural enrichment.
