Speeding vehicles, 15th March

Thu, 15 Mar 2018 11:40:01 +0000

The amount of speeding vehicles on this street is horrendous. The bus route needs to be changed to the A192 and I feel the only way to prevent speeding vehicles is to have speed bumps place all along Elsdon Avenue. Having 2 Schools situated on this road, I can't believe no action to prevent speeding vehicles has been taken before. Road signs are not totally visible and there are very few speed signs, however, more needs to be done as people are clearly ignoring the signs for 20 MPH. I hope it does not take a child or someone elderly to be hurt or killed for something to be done about this awful road.

Dangerous parking on junction between Whitley Place and main road through Holywell, 25th February

Sat, 25 Feb 2017 15:49:11 +0000

Cars persistently parking across the dropped kerb at junction between Whitley Place and the main road, between Laurel Terrace and the printers business. I have seen mothers with children have to step into the main road to cross the junction to get to the pedestrian crossing. And no regard for prams, wheelchair users or visually impaired who the textured kerb is intended for. It is also now almost impossible to drive safely from whitley place onto the main road, the volume of traffic now increased, as the view is so obscured. Made worse often by cars parking half or completely on the pavement in front of the printers just before the pedestrian crossing. This is a problem that has been going on for some time and getting worse. I have photographs but have been unable to upload them.

Noticed this evening because of the weird and mild weather for December one youth playing football it hit the front of my bungalow or my neighbours this happens more during the summer but thankfully that was it. Is it legal for football to be played after dark as it can be irritating. It is bad enough we get it during the summer so hope this is a one off.
