Bletchley is located just north of Milton Keynes city centre, approximately 44 miles from London and 14 miles east from the City of Oxford. It is one of the most densely populated parts of Milton Keynes, with nearly 19,000 people living in an area of 4.9 km sq.

Education is well catered for with four primary schools within the boundary of MK41 - Denbigh, Fenny Stratford, St Thomas More Catholic and Westfield, as well as the Walton High secondary school, a specialist mathematics and computing college.

MK41 is a well established residential area, with a large majority of the housing stock built before 1979. The area has a range of housing styles and sizes, from modern towns and terrace housing up to larger detached properties in Bletchley Park, a popular area to the north of the postcode boundary.

Local amenities and leisure options are varied and include a number of local parks and open spaces, as well as natural areas such as the Bletchley chalk pits and woodland. The Grand Union Canal runs through Bletchley, providing a pleasant recreational area for walking, fishing and boating. Shopping can be found at the Bletchley Leisure Centre and the nearby supermarket chains including Sainsbury's, Marks and Spencer and ALDI.

Transport links are excellent, with road connections to the nearby M1 motorway at junction 14, as well as rail services to Milton Keynes and London provided by Bletchley railway station. Bus routes offer frequent access to Milton Keynes and surrounding towns and villages.

Bletchley is also home to the world renowned Bletchley Park centre, best known for being the home of the British Government's Second World War code-breaking activities. The house and grounds, now open to the public, provide an interesting heritage experience, showcasing the fascinating work that was conducted in complete secrecy.
