Additionally, existing in the postcode is a diverse range of independent restaurants, bars, galleries, sidewalk cafes and retailers; providing an eclectic mix of cuisine, culture and shopping.

The area takes up the majority of the eastern part of the London Borough of Camden and has a number of parks within its boundaries, such as Goodenough College, Museum Street and Coram's Fields, as well as London's oldest public garden, Gray's Inn Square.

The postcode is made up of the following post towns: London, Camden, Bloomsbury and Holborn. It is easy to access by public transport, with the Piccadilly, Northern, Metropolitan, Circle and Hammersmith & City lines all running through the area. In addition, there are several bus routes within the postcode.

According to ONS data, the population is relatively affluent with a median disposable income per household of £57,216 in 2018. The left wing political party, ‘The Bloomsbury Association' has a notable presence within the postcode.
