The area is also well known for its selection of cafes, restaurants, and bars. Films and theatre performances are regularly shown at the Riverside Studios, one of the leading small theatre venues in London.
W6 is also home to two schools; the Hammersmith Academy and Latymer Upper School. It is also home to a number of churches, temples, and mosques.
Chiswick Park, a five-hectare public park, is located in the area and includes a lake, a playground, three tennis courts, and a large open lawn. Ravenscourt Park also has a number of amenities such as a play area, a bowling green, tennis courts, and an enclosed garden with a café.
At the same time, W6 is home to a number of large businesses. There are a number of famous companies based in the area such as Sky, the BBC and the large corporate HQs of Heineken and Virgin Media.
