SE5 9 is located in the north of the SE5 postcode district and is mainly residential. The area is bounded by Camberwell Church Street in the south and Denmark Hill and Champion Hill in the north. It runs between Rodney Road and Wetherell Road in the west to Meadow Road and Farley Road in the east. This is a popular area for families to live in due to its close proximity to Denmark Hill train station and its vibrant local amenities. It is also home to some top schools including St Saviour's and St Olave's Church of England School and St Thomas the Apostle College.

The region is served by a number of bus routes that go throughout Southwark and parts of Central London. There is also excellent cycling infrastructure here including cycle paths and the Cycle Superhighway 11, making it easy for cyclists to navigate the area. Residents also benefit from easy access to the tube, with nearby station including Denmark Hill and Oval, creating an excellent link to the rest of London.
