Refuse / recycling bins stored on street, 23rd April
120 colin Cres - black and blue bins stored permanently on street instead of inside boundary (front garden) causing a hazard to pedestrians / wheelchairs / buggies. I don’t know why the bin owners can’t put the bins on their property instead of leaving permanently out to block the pathway for users

Council workers/ Barnet homes, 17th April
Barnet Homes workers/contractors recently visited Basing Way but only spent a brief 5 minutes in the area before leaving without addressing the litter scattered around the estate, particularly at the back. This neglect is deeply frustrating for residents who have every right to expect a clean environment. It's clear that Barnet Homes is failing in their responsibility to maintain acceptable living conditions. The buildings haven't been cleaned inside for months, and it's evident that the contracted workers need better supervision to ensure the estate is kept clean. Taxpayers' money should be invested wisely, with a priority on cleanliness and maintenance. Immediate action is needed to clean the estate, including the communual areas inside the buildings, and picking up litter, around the estate. Rubbish bins must be placed in their designated areas instead of being left in the road, which only adds to the mess and deprives residents of parking spaces. It's crucial that the bins are placed correctly, as the attached photos evidenced the bins on the road. Urgent attention is required to address these issues.
Thank you in advance.

Idle car, air and noise pollution, 12th April
Dear Barnet Council/ Barnet Homes,
I am writing to express my deep concern regarding an ongoing issue within Basing Way concerning a specific vehicle.
The vehicle in question, Audi NMG33S, from Flat 52, has been consistently left idle for prolonged periods, with no one inside the car, causing significant noise pollution and emitting harmful fumes.
This persistent disturbance not only disrupts the peace and tranquillity of our neighbourhood but also poses serious health risks, particularly to the respiratory health of our residents, including vulnerable children.
The noise generated by the vehicle is unbearable and disrupts the daily lives of those residing nearby. It prevents residents from enjoying their properties and outdoor spaces in peace, interferes with sleep patterns, and impacts overall well-being.
Moreover, the emissions released by the idle vehicle contribute to air pollution, exposing residents to harmful pollutants and exacerbating existing health conditions.
Of particular concern is the impact on children, whose developing lungs are especially susceptible to the detrimental effects of air pollution.
Exposure to such pollutants at a young age can have long-lasting consequences on their respiratory health and overall development.
It is unacceptable that our children are being subjected to such risks due to the negligence of this vehicle owner.
We urge the council to take immediate action to address this issue and enforce regulations to mitigate the impact of idle vehicles in residential areas.
Measures should be implemented to prevent such disturbances and ensure the well-being of all residents.
Furthermore, we request that the council investigate the situation promptly and take appropriate measures to remedy the problem.
In conclusion, I implore the council to prioritise the well-being of residents and take swift action to address this pressing concern.
Failure to act promptly will only prolong the suffering of those affected and exacerbate the adverse effects on our community's health and quality of life.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. We look forward to your prompt response and action on this urgent issue.
