The area is served by three tube stations on different lines – Moorgate, Liverpool Street and Bank. These stations all connect to many mainline railway stations and other London Underground lines. There are also numerous bus routes available that run through the district.

EC2R is a major financial hub and is the centre of London's financial district. It is home to some of the world's leading financial firms, as well as many other corporate businesses. The commercial atmosphere here is very vibrant and bustling, with a huge range of office buildings, shops and restaurants. The district has a wide variety of restaurants and bars, and accommodation is available in the form of some of the city's top hotels.

The streets here are lined with small independent retailers and shops, as well as some larger retail outlets such as Debenhams and John Lewis. The area is also known for its impressive selection of pubs and bars.

In terms of recreational activities, there is plenty to do in EC2R. There are numerous parks and open spaces in the area, including the beautiful Leadenhall Market area, for people to relax and enjoy the afternoon. There are also historical points of interest as well as a variety of cultural locations to explore.
