Both of the uprights of this stile have rotted through completely and provide no support to anyone trying to cross it.
The lower cross-piece is missing, too. The entire stile is a tangle of wire and baler twine.
Trying to step across is now particularly difficult because it’s tempting to hold onto either upright whilst balancing on the remaining crosspiece and trying to negotiate the baker twine - the result being that grabbing an upright now causes you to overbalance as each upright is unstable and only held loosely in place by the fence wire
