The area also includes two popular outdoor activities spots – the majestic Elan Valley Reservoir and the spectacular Llyn Brianne Reservoir. Both of these locations are popular amongst visitors and locals alike for boating, fishing, canoeing, or simply taking in the breathtaking views.

The LD1 postcode also encompasses one of the most popular tourist sites in the area, The Rock Park. The Rock Park should not to be missed and indeed, that is exactly what you do not want to do. It is a national trust site for the protection of certain rare or endangered species, such as birds, foxes, and badgers.

The area is well connected to the rest of Wales and the UK by the A44, A470, and A483 through road networks and there are two regular railway stations running between Manchester and Cardiff, located in Llandrindod and Rhayader. This makes it easily accessible for visitors.

The area is also served by a handful of iconic local businesses and establishments. These include the Glanbran Inn, the Royal Hotel, and the historic Lion Hotel. All provide visitors with accommodation, food, and entertainment. In addition to this, there are also many local farmers' markets and shops throughout the LD1 postcode.
