Dangerous crossing, 9th March
A lack of traffic calming/speed camera causes excessive speed up and down the road. As a residential road but also a main carriageway it should have a speed camera to deter dangerous driving. People do excess of 40mph in both directions and it won’t be long before someone is seriously injured crossing at the park.

Mud on Warrington Road Prescot from Taylor Wimpey, 8th March
Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Environmental Damage Caused by Mud Deposits on A57 Road in Prescot
I am writing to raise a formal complaint regarding the environmental damage caused by the excessive mud deposits on the A57 road in Prescot, resulting from the construction works carried out by Taylor Wimpey at their site. The persistent issue of mud being left on the road not only poses a safety hazard to motorists and pedestrians but also constitutes a clear breach of both the Environmental Protection Act and the Building Regulations.
The constant presence of mud on the A57 road in Prescot is a significant cause for concern as it not only diminishes the aesthetics of the area but also poses a serious risk to public safety. The accumulation of mud on the road creates slippery conditions, particularly during wet weather, which can lead to hazardous driving conditions and an increased likelihood of accidents. Furthermore, pedestrians using the footpaths adjacent to the road are also at risk of slipping and sustaining injuries due to the mud being left unattended.
It is evident that the construction works being carried out by Taylor Wimpey at their site are the primary source of the mud deposits on the A57 road. As a responsible developer, Taylor Wimpey has a duty to ensure that their construction activities do not result in environmental harm or disruption to the local community. It is clear that the excessive mud being left on the road is a direct consequence of inadequate soil erosion control measures and a lack of proper maintenance by the construction site personnel.
The Environmental Protection Act 1990 places a legal obligation on individuals and organizations to take all reasonable measures to prevent pollution of the environment, including the contamination of watercourses and roadways with mud and other construction-related materials. Additionally, the Building Regulations set out specific requirements for construction sites to mitigate the environmental impact of their activities, including the implementation of effective sediment control measures to prevent soil erosion and the deposition of mud on public roads.
Therefore, I urge the relevant authorities to investigate this matter promptly and take enforcement action against Taylor Wimpey for their failure to comply with the environmental regulations and building requirements. It is imperative that immediate steps are taken to address the issue of mud deposits on the A57 road in Prescot, including the implementation of robust mud management practices by the construction site personnel and the regular cleaning and maintenance of the affected road sections.
In conclusion, the ongoing environmental damage caused by the mud deposits on the A57 road in Prescot cannot be overlooked, and urgent intervention is required to rectify this situation. I trust that the authorities will take appropriate action to hold Taylor Wimpey accountable for their actions and ensure that such environmental violations are not repeated in the future.
