The area of L23 is also home to several health and safety services, such as hospitals and emergency services. It is home to the Walton Centre for Neurology and Neurosurgery, a world-renowned neurological hospital, and there are also services such as GP practices, dentists, pharmacies, and community health services.

Transport links in the postcode are good, with several train stations, bus routes, and a nearby airport. Liverpool John Lennon Airport is just a stone's throw away, offering convenient access for flying in and out of the district, and regular bus services to Liverpool, Manchester, and beyond.
