FIXMYSTREET IN LN9 6AQ
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of LN9 6AQ:
Road closure @ Prospect Street, 24th April
There have been some brief works here (signs said closure 23rd to 25th?) But they have been completed within one day. There appears to be no reason for the road to be closed still, other than because it's being used as a storage area for the collapsed barriers.....
The main problem with this still being closed is that the diversion is sending you straight into major works with 4-way temporary traffic lights at the west street/jubilee way junction. Those works are causing complete chaos in their own right without adding more traffic to it!
Can this closure please be cleared ASAP

Works at junction of west street/jubilee way, 23rd April
National grid roadworks arrived without warning at this major junction, using 4 way temporary traffic lights with added pedestrian freestanding lights -it's causing traffic chaos within the town itself as well as major issues with the school buses etc at the Grammar School caught up in it .
One issue highlighted is the permit issued says no footpath closure, but the footpath (alongside substation) is currently non-existent, having been excavated to a great depth to apparently access underneath the sub station.

Mareham road opposite gleesons site, 8th April
Monday 8th April 17.30 the road is covered in large lumps of mud and large stones, all trailed out of gleesons site with no attempt to clean the road even though gleesons promised to regularly sweep the road. Currently they sweep the road approximately once a week which obviously is not adequate. By the time you arrive to inspect the road it will have been swept. Whilst the site is wet the road needs sweeping daily and some sort of action needs to take place to ensure this as damage is being caused to vehicles and who is going to pay for this damage?
