The Lincoln Central local district includes the parts of the city centre, including Canterbury, Cathedral, North and West Gate. This also includes the area around Lincoln University and the associated International Pool complex.
The South West local district includes the nearby villages of Branston, Heighington and Navenby, along with the former RAF base at Metheringham. In the Rural area, the postcode district includes the towns of Waddington and Skellingthorpe, and the rural villages of Saxilby, Thurlby, Canwick and Bracebridge Heath.
Living in LN9 provides many amenities, with a fast road network leading to other areas. There is also an extensive public transport network, which includes both regular and occasional bus service, and an intercity train station in the city centre. The nearby A46 provides access to the wider area, including the nearby cities of Nottingham and Leicester, as well as Lincoln's International Airport.
LN9 is a great place to live; it is a vibrant city with plenty of opportunities for leisure activities and entertainment. There are museums, galleries and theatres, as well as shopping centres, parks and gardens, and other recreational areas. Lincoln is also the home of the historic Lincoln Cathedral, and home to one of the most impressive country houses in the UK, the Bishop's Palace.
