Moor Grange is a village on the northern outskirts of the city which is mostly an upper-middle class residential area. It is home to an extensive array of Victorian and Georgian properties, a number of parks and green spaces, and the old village green, which features the village pond and a war memorial. It is known for its many guesthouses and boutique hotels, giving visitors plenty of choice when it comes to staying in the city.

LS7 is served by a number of services including three local bus services, the Northern and London North Eastern Railway. The area is easily accessed by bike given its proximity to the city centre and there are a number of cycle paths throughout the postcode.

The local schools in this area are academically renowned and students often go on to study at universities in the local area. LS7 is also home to a number of outdoor leisure activities and sports clubs ranging from golfing, tennis, and hockey. It also has a vibrant nightlife in certain areas of the postcode which come to life in the evening with a range of bars, pubs, and clubs.
