The main town in KY13 is Milnathort, which is located close to the M90 motorway and A91. The town centre consists of a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as a bakery, bank and post office. There is also a primary school in the town, and to the west through the villages, there is Kinross High School. Areas of conservation are located to the north and west of the postcode district, with a nature reserve containing several bird species.

Sports are huge in KY13, with the area hosting a number of popular golf courses as well as hosting football teams such as Milnathort Juniors and Carnoustie Panmure F.C. The Milnathort Running Group regularly organises 5K and 10K runs, and there are also numerous cycling trails and many walkways in the area.

Travelling to and from KY13 is easy, with the M90 motorway running to the north east, connecting Milnathort with Perth and Dundee, and the A91 running across the postcode district connecting towns like Kinross and Milnathort. There are a few train stations in the area, including Milnathort and Kinross stations.
