The area is served by Tolworth railway station, Chessington South railway station, and Stoneleigh railway station. It is also well connected to the London Underground network, with nearby stations including Tolworth and Surbiton on the Kingston Line. Major roads in the area include the A3, A240, A243, A244, and Kingston Bypass.

There is a mix of independent retailers and chain stores in the area, including a Co-op store, and various pubs and restaurants. The area also has excellent leisure and recreational facilities, with parks, golf courses, leisure facilities, and woodland walks. There are a few schools in the area, including Chessington Community College, and Archbishop Tenison's CofE High School. Additionally, the main shopping centre, Ewell Court Village, is close by.

The area is home to many events throughout the year. In March, the Strawberry Hill House garden event is held, and throughout the summer there are a number of festivals and open-air concerts. There are also many nearby attractions within easy reach, including Hampton Court Palace, Chessington World of Adventures, as well as the historic pubs and restaurants of Kingston upon Thames.
