Grass verges just mud, 23rd March

Sat, 23 Mar 2024 16:57:05 +0000
51.316734 -0.215051

Could you kindly look at the so called " grass verges " especially on Piquets Way, but also on the adjacent road ie The Drive. These have become just mud patches for nearly a yest if not longer. Worse on Piquets Way on the left side going towards The Drive. They are highly unsightly but more than that slippy and muddy. Could you kindly replace grass where it once was so that they are again grass verges not muddy land.

***URGENT*** 29/02/24 previously reported, more than ONE year has passed since this is blocked ! *** NO PROGRESS **** **URGENT ***, 22nd March

Fri, 22 Mar 2024 12:35:21 +0000
51.305811 -0.221261

29/02/2024 this was previously reported and NO progress please further note, when it is raining the front doors of the properties cannot be used, multiple reports have been made in regards to this, This is URGENT !!!! when a vehicle passes the whole front of the house gets splashed with dirty rainwater, will let you make the calculation how many times an day that is, The grate of the drain is completely blocked as shown in the photo so no water can pass through there at all causing an major puddle on that junction where the properties are, it won't be easy to clear as cannot be pushed through attempts have been made already, Think of it being hard as cement, so much rainwater retention is present there on the road when vehicles come around the bend they don't realise this is present and drive through it please note these important fact relayed above, Copy and paste of the previous report made on 29/02/24:- The drains outside 26 & 27 The Green Burgh Heath Tadworth KT20 5NP have been blocked for over an YEAR just to advise, these are directly opposite the Shell Fuel Garage, When it rains an lot of water gets retained there causing an very large puddle, so when the vehicles are passing through there on the road they unintentionally splash all the houses in situ and the pedestrians sadly walking past, This was reported by an close neighbour I believe but nothing has been done about it hence this report, The occupants no longer use the front door but have resorted to using their back doors because of the fear of getting drenched as they have been accustomed to sadly on an rainy day, I have uploaded the photos of the drains today to gather an greater insight to initiate works,

High speed drivers near school, 17th March

Sun, 17 Mar 2024 18:58:37 +0000
51.316712 -0.214892

I would like the council to place a 20 mph area on both Piquets Way and The Drive. These 2 residential roads are where The Beacon School is and School children walk around here all the time . Yet so many dangerous drivers speeding in both these busy roads which are made narrower due to so many parked cars. Reducing the speed to 20 will reduce the risk of an accident or death. Ideally such a huge high school should never be in the middle of a residential area and ideally be relocated. This would then make more land for residential houses which will are much needed. But at least taking the speed on both The Drive and Piquets Way to 20mph would reduce the risk of a death of a child

Red VW Polo NG59HCF parked completely over pavement causing obstruction, 10th March

Sun, 10 Mar 2024 17:40:13 +0000
51.323155 -0.254232

This car has recently parked up behind another car that's already parked entirely obstructing the pavement. One thoughtless act follows another. You can see the report for the original vehicle that "set the trend" here: https://www.fixmystreet.com/report/5691626 Conventional, legal parking is widely available a short walk away but this driver appears to think their needs are greater than pedestrians or the disabled who wish to use the pavement here, unfortunately there is no drop-down kerb for pushchairs or wheelchairs, so these need to return to Treadwell Road to cross at the junction where there are drop down curbs, then continue their journey on the opposite pavement.

Selfish driver of LD60LWO parked overnight on pavement causing obstruction, 10th March

Sun, 10 Mar 2024 11:25:25 +0000
51.323155 -0.254232

On the evening of 9th March 2024, the driver of this Citroen C1 registration LD60LWO has caused an obstruction to both vehicles and pedestrians by selfishly parking completely over the pavement at the top of Hillcrest Close near the junction with Treadwell Road. The car was left parked there overnight. Conventional, legal parking is widely available a short walk away but this driver appears to think their needs are greater than pedestrians or the disabled who wish to use the pavement here, unfortunately there is no drop-down kerb for pushchairs or wheelchairs, so these need to return to Treadwell Road to cross at the junction where there are drop down curbs, then continue their journey on the opposite pavement. Unfortunately there are no patrols in this area to ticket this clear obstruction of the pavement. The same car was previously reported in August 2023 for the same infraction, see: https://www.fixmystreet.com/report/4872580

Beige BMW car FP60BFL parked on double yellow lines, 6th March

Wed, 06 Mar 2024 20:41:38 +0000
51.32312 -0.254396

Illegal parking on 5th March 2024 at 10am. These double yellow lines provide a refuge for vehicles turning into Hillcrest Close without remaining on Treadwell Road (which often has drivers driving at high speed along it), whilst allowing clearance for oncoming vehicles exiting from Hillcrest Close at the same time. Selfish parking like this causes an obstruction and restricts the visibility and amenity of vulnerable road users. It's also clearly no parking here, because of the road markings.

Dangerous parking near junction, 4th March

Mon, 04 Mar 2024 14:09:14 +0000

This van has been here for weeks. It blocks the view of oncoming traffic for Tangier Way residents wishing to turn right onto Tattenham Way. It is 3m from the junction rather than the 10m minimum requirement. Several Tangier Way residents have had near misses due to the obstructed view this van causes.

Severe flooding, 24th February

Sat, 24 Feb 2024 14:05:02 +0000
51.317156 -0.215151

The flooding on the road which i reported 4 november at the junction between The Drive and Brighton Road has still not been addressed. It is clearly a blocked drain and a constant issue for both pedestrians and drivers.. it has been on going for years but is getting worse. There are clearly blocked drains which need to be addressed as is is a danger for pedestrians to have to go around near moving cars to get past and the car drivers swerve to avoid the area too.
