Road surface deteriorating prior to speed cushion, 1st April
The speed cushion outside 26 Burgh Heath Road, Epsom has been previously repaired, however the road surface uphill of this, on the downhill lane has started to significantly deteriorate. This has caused a depression pot hole, which will cause a jolt and steering issues, in one of the two natural paths that a cyclist will take to avoid the speed cushion, the between the two speed cushions, but which will bring them closer to oncoming traffic. It can also be seen in the photograph how poor the road sweeping has been along with a lack of verge maintenance allowing the build up of detritus over the kerb and into the gutter, obscuring the white lines marking the carriageway.

Pothole due to failing repair, 1st April
One end of the infill to a trench that was cut right across the road has started to fail, causing a sharp depression on the outside of a bend in the track of where a cyclist would be, on a downhill. This needs to be addressed so that cyclists are not pitched off their cycles or caused to lose control through jarring of the steering.

Infill has eroded around road metal causing pothole on bend, 1st April
A previous repair has deteriorated meaning that tarmac has eroded from all around an item of road metal (possibly a stop cock cover). As this is on a downhill bend and inline with the inside vehicle track it is int eh natural position for a cyclist to encounter it, potentially causing a crash and injury.

Red VW Polo NG59HCF parked completely over pavement causing obstruction, 10th March
This car has recently parked up behind another car that's already parked entirely obstructing the pavement. One thoughtless act follows another.
You can see the report for the original vehicle that "set the trend" here: https://www.fixmystreet.com/report/5691626
Conventional, legal parking is widely available a short walk away but this driver appears to think their needs are greater than pedestrians or the disabled who wish to use the pavement here, unfortunately there is no drop-down kerb for pushchairs or wheelchairs, so these need to return to Treadwell Road to cross at the junction where there are drop down curbs, then continue their journey on the opposite pavement.

Selfish driver of LD60LWO parked overnight on pavement causing obstruction, 10th March
On the evening of 9th March 2024, the driver of this Citroen C1 registration LD60LWO has caused an obstruction to both vehicles and pedestrians by selfishly parking completely over the pavement at the top of Hillcrest Close near the junction with Treadwell Road. The car was left parked there overnight. Unfortunately there are no patrols in this area to ticket this clear obstruction of the pavement. The same car was previously reported in August 2023 for the same infraction, see: https://www.fixmystreet.com/report/4872580

Beige BMW car FP60BFL parked on double yellow lines, 6th March
Illegal parking on 5th March 2024 at 10am. These double yellow lines provide a refuge for vehicles turning into Hillcrest Close without remaining on Treadwell Road (which often has drivers driving at high speed along it), whilst allowing clearance for oncoming vehicles exiting from Hillcrest Close at the same time. Selfish parking like this causes an obstruction and restricts the visibility and amenity of vulnerable road users. It's also clearly no parking here, because of the road markings.
