The town is also known for its ecclesiastical history, with Leiston Abbey – a 14th Century Augustinian abbey – and Hacheston Church just outside the town situated within the postcode boundary.

In terms of leisure, IP23 is well-placed for outdoor lovers, with places such as Snape Maltings, Ufford Park Woodbridge Hotel & Golf Club, and RSPB Minsmere all close by. Further afield, there are a range of attractions including Bury St Edmunds and Easton Farm Park, as well as popular seaside spots such as Aldeburgh and Southwold.

In terms of transport, IP23 is served by regular bus services, as well as rail connections in Woodbridge and Saxmundham. Lowestoft is also just an hour away by car, offers further transport links if needed.
