IP15 is a postcode in the Ipswich district of Suffolk, UK. It is a network of twenty-six postcode sectors, which have been divided into six delivery districts, all of which cover the Ipswich area. The postcode covers roughly sixteen square miles and occupies parts of seven post towns, including Ipswich, Woodbridge, Felixstowe, Bramford, Claydon, Whitton, Creeting St Mary and Martlesham Heath.

The postcode was created as part of the national postcode system, which was introduced in the late 1950s. It was designed to improve post sorting, making mail delivery easier and quicker.

IP15 contains 1,153 streets and around 4,900 small and medium size businesses, which vary from shops and cafes to health and leisure centres. It also contains nearly 12,000 residential properties, with many of these being in the Ipswich area.

The area is served by a variety of primary and secondary schools, nurseries and academy trusts, and is home to a number of leisure attractions, such as museums, theatres, art galleries, swimming pools and golf courses. It is also home to numerous parks and open spaces, several historic buildings, and a selection of sports venues, such as the multi-purpose Ipswich Leisure Centre.

IP15 is located close to the East Coast mainline railway, offering easy access to the pivotal London city centre. Additionally, the postcode includes the Ipswich Waterfront, an area celebrated for its rich maritime heritage and cultural attractions.

The area is served by the Ipswich Borough Council, which is based in the Civic Centre on the edge of the Ipswich Waterfront. Residents in the area are also served by local MPs and Suffolk County Councillors.

The postcode covers a diverse range of businesses, as well as residential properties, and is well served by transport links, offering a convenient location for shopping, leisure and work opportunities. It is a vibrant area, which is served by a variety of essential services and amenities, making it a desirable place to live and work.
