The IV63 postcode is a geographical area code in the UK, located in the Highlands Council area in the Scottish Highlands and Islands region.

It covers parts of Black Isle in northern Scotland, including the town of Fortrose, as well as the villages of Kilmuir, Redcastle, Avoch, Rosemarkie and Munlochy.

The postcode incorporates the Castle Rock Local Nature Reserve, a 56 hectare area located at the mouth of the River Ness and containing a variety of habitats, including grassland, freshwater marsh, reed beds, wet woodland and a large area of lowland heath.

In terms of population, it has a population of around 15,000 people (in 2015). It is serviced by the irregular Stagecoach bus service and has two railway stations: Avoch and Fortrose, Duncraig & Culbokie (on the Far North Line). It is also adjacent to Inverness Airport and about an hours drive from both Inverness and Aberdeen.

It is also within striking distance of several other local attractions, including the beautiful Black Isle coast, Chanonry Point (home to the world's largest concentration of Bottlenose Dolphins) and the East Links Family Park.

The economy of the area is largely driven by farming and fishing, but there are also several other smaller industries, including a gas plant in Fortose.

Finally, in terms of education, it is home to three primary Schools, one secondary school (Fortrose Academy) and also the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI).
