Water leaking onto the road, 23rd February

Fri, 23 Feb 2018 07:13:37 +0000

I moved to Loughton for work nearly 9 months ago, for the entire time water has been leaking on to the road (gravel lane near pudding lane). There is a road island and bollard in this area which gets so dirty (due to the water in the road), when it is dark it is practically invisible. Today I went past it on my motorbike and all the water had turned into a giant ice slick. This is incredibly dangerous even with out this ice, this needs to be fixed as it has gone on far too long.

Flat shaking when buses speeding on broken road, 17th February

Sat, 17 Feb 2018 15:03:15 +0000

Our flat and my neighbours flats are shaking when double decker buses are speeding on New North Road because the state of the road is horrible. When they are speeding the vibrations make everything shake in our flat. Please repair the road and eventually install traffic bumps so that tfl bus drivers cannot speed up too much. New North Rd is a straight road with no bumps and when there are no passengers waiting at the bus stop "Harboured Road" they just carry on at a very high speed which is unsafe and makes our properties here to shake. The problem happens especially with the 247 towards Romford when there are no passengers at Harboured Road.

Parking problems in Oakmoor Way, Parkes Rd and surrounding streets., 19th April

Wed, 19 Apr 2017 20:00:01 +0100

Can anything be done about the parking in these roads as most nights it is very difficult to park near our house. In Parkes Rd you can only park on one side of the road due to a very high kerb on the other side. All houses, bar one, have their own driveway which makes parking awkward due to a lack of space. I've asked the council to either remove the high kerb in Parkes Rd so we can park on both sides of the road OR to put parking bays in place of the green area opposite the garages in Oakmoor Way. The council has replied that they haven't got the money. I don't really believe them as they seem to have money to waste on other silly local projects. This problem will only get worse as more people move into the area with 2, 3, 4 vehicles per family. We've also got new flats going up nearby which could add to the problem.

Broken slabs on steps near garages in Oakmoor Way., 19th April

Wed, 19 Apr 2017 19:22:33 +0100

People keep parking their cars on these steps when their is no where else to park. The weight of these vehicles has caused these steps to crumble. They have already been repaired since we've been here. I did ask the council to fit bollards so as to stop vehicles being left there but, so far, the council has done nothing. This could be dangerous to anyone using these steps if they fall apart more ALSO if they break completely a car or van could end up in someone's back garden damaging a 6 foot wall. I'd rather not take photos in case I'm caught by vehicle owner which could lead to a difficult situation (Also I can't work camera on this bloody phone :) ).

30 Portacabins unused for the last 5-6 years. Used to be temporary health centre while new one was being built then it was The Children's Resource Centre for a while. Now, apparently, these portacabins have been sold on several times BUT the new owners have not bothered to collect them yet and return the park to it's natural beauty and for the local kids to use as they used to years ago. This has already been reported to Redbridge Council and our local MP (Wes Streeting). Neither have acted to remove these units or to deal with the new owners who must be losing money on these if they are not being used. I don't know about you but I'm sick of passing them everyday. It used to be such a nice park. I used to take ours their when they were younger. I get the impression that the council and our MP just don't care. I've even mentioned this to our local councillor., 19th April

Wed, 19 Apr 2017 18:50:38 +0100

See above. 30 unused portacabins in Manford Way park opposite Manford Way Primary School. Unused for over 5 years.
