It offers good access to the rest of the North Yorkshire region with easy access to the A1(M) motorway and regular bus services.

Many of the houses in HG3 are traditional looking with a mixture of both period and modern properties. There is a mixture of local shops and convenience stores, and a number of larger supermarkets such as Tesco and Morrisons. The area is also well served with good quality schools which cater to all types of students, from primary to secondary education.

HG3 is home to a range of different businesses and industries, with two of the area's major employers being the Harrogate and Taylor and Company engineering firm and KVH Aerospace. The area also has a thriving business centre with a range of businesses and services, including banks, beauty salons, estate agents and a dry-cleaning service.

The HG3 area is home to a number of well-known historic attractions including Ripley Castle, Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal, Old Warden Water Valley and Pateley Bridge. These are great places to explore and enjoy the stunning North Yorkshire scenery.
