Multiple potholes in road., 16th November

Thu, 16 Nov 2017 20:02:59 +0000

This road has had an appalling surface for some years. From the new canal bridge, all the way up to the cattle grid, there are numerous potholes, some of which are difficult to avoid, due to parked cars, and the type of road. One of the worst is a 'lump' on the bend as you drive over the railway bridge - this seems to be getting worse.

The saplings and brambles need cutting back as they are hanging and grown into the road and making it narrow on the bend.As I was out walking my dog a cyclist had to move over due to a van coming round the tight left hand bend and one of the bushes scratched across his face. He didn't see as it it was getting dark and the street lights are blocked out by these saplings as well.

Cycle Path Covered in Mud and Leaves from Last Winter, 26th July

Wed, 26 Jul 2017 17:36:39 +0100

The Cycle path that links Dudbridge with the centre of Stroud is covered in mud and leaf debris from last winter. To my knowledge the cycle path has never been cleaned and as a result creates a hazard for cyclists using it. I have witnessed several people fall off bikes due to the poor condition of the path. Needs to be cleaned with a sweeper and put on a regular maintenance schedule..

Clunking / clanking drain cover, 7th July

Fri, 07 Jul 2017 08:04:22 +0100

There is a small approximately 8" square access cover outside our house that clunks and clanks every time a vehicle passes over and is driving us mad. It was replaced when the road was resurfaced some time ago and could probably been removed completely as there seems to be nothing under it no pipe or stopcock etc. Please please get this fixed so we can sleep again Thanks

There are small shards of glass all over the pavement on the SE side of the junction with Rodborough Hill and Bath Road. This is a popular route to the primary school on Rodborough Hill and the pieces of glass keep catching the attention of childrens' fingers (they look like crystals). Please can somebody tidy it up?

Multiple cavernous potholes at the bottom of Rodborough Hill, 3rd April

Mon, 03 Apr 2017 07:17:30 +0100

The road service has been deteriorating at the bottom end of Rodborough Hill for a number of years - between Lower Spillman's and Bath Road. This winter the potholes have grown and there are now multiple potholes - some now huge and deep - across the carriageway. This presents an immediate danger to all road users - cyclists would easily become unseated if required to ride over one of the larger potholes, and vehicles now frequently swerve onto the other side of the carriageway to avoid the potholes too. Other parts of Rodborough Hill have been resurfaced recently, but not here.
