Glasgow Central railway station, located in the centre of the G3 postcode, is the second busiest station in Scotland, with trains departing to many locations in the UK.

Tourists also flock to the postcode to explore the variety of sights and attractions within it. The Centre for Contemporary Arts, located in nearby Sauchiehall Street, hosts film screenings, theatre performances, art exhibitions and other events throughout the year. Glasgow Cathedral, a historic landmark with a rich history of congregational worship, is nearby. Also located in G3 are the Glasgow Necropolis, the historic Scotch Whisky Experience, and the vibrant Glasgow Film Theatre.
