There has been a problem with potholes for a while now but due to the recent bad weather the problem is getting worse the roads are dangerous in places and need fixed before someone has an accident. The roads just outside castle kennedy on the a75 are in a terrible state too with bits of loose carriageway hitting my windscreen earlier when someone overtook me on the overtaking lane just between castle kennedy and dunragit.

Large potholes in road, 18th September
Twice recently, the road from West Barr up to Elrig has been patched, although the edges are bad. However, the small signposted road, like a Y, has not been repaired. The potholes are awful. The alternative, if approaching Elrig is a wide turning using the lay-bye but the potholes in it are even worse! Since coming here in 2011, I've had more punctures and replaced tyres than in 45 years of driving.
