Pothole on road/cycleway problem, 15th December
We were travelling along Croxton Road (Now identified as Caistor Road) between Caistor to Kirmington Airport. The purpose of our journey was for social reasons, we were heading towards the A18/M180 towards Doncaster for a shopping trip. Its a winding and narrow road and there was a lot of traffic on the road (some of which was going extremely fast.) Consequently - my speed was low as I have no interest in speeding the car just to play games and put myself and passengers at risk, so I was slowing and moving to the verge when neccessary. When the incident happened I was moving away from the verge when the front passenger wheel hit a large pothole. There was a very large bang and the cars warning light flashed that I needed to check the tyre pressure. Putting some air into the tyre it became very obvious that the tyre was damaged with at least a pucnture. The RAC were called.

The road between the A1173 and the A18 crossing the grasby bottoms has many pot holes on both sides/edges of the road- some of which are seriously deep . if two vehicles pass, it leads to driving into these holes. although there is a 7.5 tonne limit on this road many wagons use it and it is a busy narrow road. this has been a persistent problem for over 2 years
