Overgrown and hazardous public footpath at Ashby cum Fenby, 21st July
Public footpath from Third Lane to Thoroughfare in Ashby cum Fenby has been allowed to overgrow and become nearly impossible to walk along. The hedge on one side hasn't been trimmed and forces walkers against the barbed wire fence on the other side. The footpath is very narrow to begin with. Nettles and thorn bushes have grown and block the path, catching your clothes and skin. Some of the wooden fence posts have rotted away and broken. Overall this public footpath is in need of some prompt attention to make it safe and remove these hazards. There is also a broken gate at one end, which shows how neglected this is by the local council. See photos. Noticed today 21/07/22.
