Moorends is a small village north-west of the River Ouse, and historically part of the West Riding of Yorkshire.

Sutton is a residential area with some industrial developments, and is mainly made up of detached housing. It is situated near the waterways linking the River Humber and River Ouse, making it an ideal location for many businesses.

Rawcliffe Bridge is mainly residential, and is located close to the M62 motorway, with the Aire and Calder Navigation passing through it. It is also a popular destination for watersports as it has a wide range of stretches of smooth water for activities such as fishing, sailing, canoing and kayaking.

The area is well served with transport, with access to good main roads and the M62 motorway, and also train stations in Goole and Howden - making commuting to Doncaster or Leeds easy.
