Blocked drain, 15th February
Severn Trent Water customer reported leak in verge by the side of the M1. I have excavated on visible water and uncovered an old manhole cover which is not on our system. I believe this asset to be property of National Highways. Water overflowing from cover into ditch.

Very large, deep potholes on both sides of the road immediately after the level crossing direction Breaston. Road vergeside being some 1.5mtrs long, 50cm wide and 15cm deep. Opposite direction Sawley, being 1mtr long, 35cm wide and 12.5cm deep, 27th January
Pothole has been here for at least three months after previous repair disintigrated. Now causing traffic to swerve across road to avoid, holding up both ways to oncoming traffic. Potential major incident as traffic tails back waiting to negotiate after tailback following train crossing.

Sound Barrier, 25th December
Egress gate open on the sound barrier allowing access to the M1 and also there is a considerable up tick in noise. Gate located at what three words location unwanted.caring.wire. Sound barrier located near to Shilling Way, Long Eaton.

Vehicle parked wrong side of the road overnight without lights, 18th September
This vehicle has been reported previously and a warden from Erewash Borough Council put a notice on the vehicle a week ago. Since then the vehicle has been re-parked in the same spot, but now facing oncoming traffic without lights. The car has not moved for several days and is a danger to other road users. It is also parked very close to a junction and drop kerb used by invalid scooters meaning they do not have a clear view of any oncoming vehicles from Malvern Gardens..

Cars parking on blind junction, 14th August
Cars are regularly being parked on the junction of Malvern Gardens and Cheviot Road, Long Eaton. Vehicles approaching the junction from Malvern Gardens are pushed onto the wrong side of the road on this blind corner and are unseen by vehicles turning left from Cheviot Rd. It’s an accident waiting to happen. Also vehicles are blocking off the dropped kerb for pedestrians. This has increased over the past couple of months…

Illegal parking, 31st July
The owner of this vehicle has two cars on his own drive which he is repairing at a leisurely pace and has two cars now parked on the road. This makes it difficult for residents on this side of the estate, we are having to go on the opposite side of the road to get out. Anyone coming into Malvern from Cheviot at a speed like Amazon vans etc and this could be a head on collision. He is currently parked over a drop-down curb as well. Beware he works so if someone comes out to view and he is not there, don't just dismiss, return. Thank you
