The district itself is a great place for outdoor activities: Ellesmere Port has some great outdoor sports opportunities with its canal running through the centre, and nearby Northwich has some lovely walking and cycling paths which runs along the river Weaver. Winsford town is by the river Weaver and is a great place for a picnic.

Although CH65 is not close to the sea, there is an outdoor leisure centre at Ellesmere Port which offers a range of water activities, including sailing, kayaking, and swimming. The nearby Connah's Quay Nature Reserve is also a great place for a scenic walk or cycle.

The region has a diverse range of educational options, including primary and secondary schools, plus adult education courses. Finally, there are also a range of healthcare services in the area, as well as a number of dentists, pharmacies, and GP surgeries.
