There are several green spaces to visit, including Perry Green Nature Reserve, Sawbridge Place Natural Acre and Sawbridgeworth Common. In terms of educational establishments, there is Braeside Primary School and Leventhorpe Secondary School; whilst Sawbridge Place Primary is currently still under construction. There is a wide variety of shops and services available, including the White Lion Shopping Centre which offers a number of stores including Tesco and Marks & Spencer. There are also numerous pubs and eateries in the area such as the Crown & Anchor on the Green and White Horse.

The CM20 postcode is in close proximity to numerous tourist attractions. They include Audley End House and Gardens, much of which is open to public access, as well as Hatfield Forest, which comprises of ancient trees, pathways and a 40-acre lake. It is also within reach of the Lee Valley Park, where you can take a tranquil stroll along the River Lee, take part in numerous activities or simply relax and enjoy the spectacular countryside views.

There are many sporting activities on offer in the CM20 area, including golf at West Essex Golf Club, ice-skating and bowling at Lee Valley Leisure Complex and Harlow LeisureZone, basketball and football clubs, and various running, cycling and walking events. It is also well known for its horse racing, with the Kempton Park Racecourse within easy reach for those who enjoy a day at the events.
