Also within the CA10 postcode is Carlisle Cathedral, one of the finest historic cathedrals in Britain. Carlisle station, the hub of all the major transport lines in and out of the city, is also located within this postcode.

The CA10 area is a popular place to live due to its easy access to the city centre and other commercial and retail centres. The area contains good quality housing and educational opportunities, with a number of well-regarded primary and secondary schools, as well as Carlisle College for further and higher education.
