It would appear that the farmer has blocked this right of way on his land. There is also another gate further down the mountain which has an identical lock on it. I have checked on your website and it confirms that these paths are right of ways. These areas are regularly used by ramblers however they can no longer be used due to these locks being placed on the gates.

Dangerous surface, erosion and drainage, 6th November
This was reported a few years ago after I suffered a heavy crash. Nothing has been done. I have now had another crash on the same stretch. This stretch falls well short of Sustrans 9 standards for the National Cycle Network and is not fit for purpose and downright dangerous.
