Appalling Stretch of Road, 18th March
Please could somebody inspect the stretch of Bronllwyn, Pentrych from the junction with Penuel Rd up past the Primary School to High Corner/junction with Mountain Road? This is the main road & bus route through Pentyrch.
1. The stretch outside the school is appalling. Numerous patches dug up & “repaired” leaving a very uneven and disintegrating surface in numerous places. These have been caused by works relating to the ongoing school extension, poorly reinstated & made worse by heavy lorries going over them. The worst is a recent one running the whole width of the road, which is already collapsed & unavoidable.
2. Outside Benedict Court are two sunken patches of road. The lower one was a pothole which was repaired but is sinking again & has water continuously running up out of it so ?a Dwr Cymru issue? The upper one is getting worse. It has been marked for repair but not done yet. They have both been there for at least 3-4 weeks.

Poor Repair, 26th January
Reported 24/1/24. Yellow marked 25/1/24. “Repaired” very promptly 26/1/24. However the repair was just a bucket of tar put in & packed down & is already breaking down again on the evening of 26/1/24. It will be back to the original pothole after the next downpour or when a couple of farm tractors have driven over it. This is false economy. Please could it be properly repaired. Thanks.

Invisible White “Give Way” Lines, 16th January
Junction @ High Corner. Mountain Road (from the Garth / Efail Isaf) exits into Bronllwyn / Heol y Pentre. The white lines are invisible now. There have been numerous near misses when non-locals (& some locals!) pull straight out of Mountain Rd. The line of sight can be confusing - some thinking straight down onto Bronllwyn is just a continuous road.

River Taff No. 2 in the Making, 11th December
On the junction of "Viaduct Road" there is the making of a new River Taff created by dirty/blocked drains. Cars heading up towards Pentyrch are driving on the opposite carriageway and almost every few minutes a collision is nearly happening. Walked past here 4 times yesterday and I witnessed one couple with a push chair getting totally soaked and two very near collisions. The drains are obviously blocked as they look blocked the more you walk up the road to the bus stop.
