Coney Hall is the oldest part of BR3, and has a village-like atmosphere with a locally owned pub known as The Castle. There is a village green with a playground and a small church. Keston has long been a popular village for commuters needing easy access to London and to or from Kent.

The area is well-served by public transport links into central London and Kent.
