Street lights still not fixed, 23rd April

Tue, 23 Apr 2024 06:09:37 +0100
51.441487 -2.613677

2 lights are now not working on Friezewood Road outside 18 and 50 Despite reporting these multiple times the job keeps getting closed and saying they are fixed These are most definitely not fixed I suggest you liaise with the company who you employ to carry out this work and find out what is going on The light outside 18 Friezewood has not worked since autumn of 2023 and the one outside 50 has been out for at least 2 weeks now. We pay our council tax which includes adequate street lighting yet we don’t seem to have that luxury. We only have 5 lights in the street and with 2 of these STILL not working it has become a danger and a very big problem. Please get these fixed and stop closing the job down when they clearly are not fully working

5877707 - no action on previous report, 22nd April

Mon, 22 Apr 2024 21:12:38 +0100
51.427264 -2.565247

The previous report I made was updated as "fixed & closed" The grass / weeds have NOT been cut and no comment has been made to reassure that it will be done in the near future. The grass cutters have not once cut this grass this year even the grass was cut everywhere else. If it is not done soon the the thistle weeds will again grow out of control like the did last year. PLEASE CONFIRM EXACTLY WHAT ACTION IS GOING TO HAPPEN

Update to ref: 5256318 - Overgrown Trees Obstructing Road, 22nd April

Mon, 22 Apr 2024 11:54:56 +0100
51.431645 -2.570524

As requested, it has now been over 28 days since an enforcement letter was sent to the owners of these trees and the case deemed closed, but the problem persists (regarding FixMyStreet ref: 5256318): - Branches still reach over half way across the road making access difficult for taller vehicles. - Some branches closest to the phone pole have been cut back, allowing access to a phone-line team to install a fibre internet line to one of the homes attached to it. However, most still remain and no further work has been done since this installation. - Leaves were swept into the road by the owners, making the road dangerously slippery but this was all cleaned up a week or two later by a council operated street cleaning vehicle. - A recent letter from Bristol Water has indicated that there have been an increase in drain blockages in the area, which this may be contributing to. With Spring fast approaching, nesting birds will slow any work that needs to be done.

No lights on street, 21st April

Sun, 21 Apr 2024 21:28:09 +0100
51.440979 -2.612922

We’ve now lost the only light on the street that was working. This is seriously dangerous in the night as no one can see walking down the street. This has been going on for months. It’s ludicrous it’s taken so long to fix a light when we pay so much council tax. What on earth is going on?!?

BCC Bin in Road, 20th April

Sat, 20 Apr 2024 22:04:00 +0100
51.436822 -2.605249

Bristol city council Bins are being stored in road. It looks like these bins are supposed to be stored in a bin store rather than permanently in the road. It makes the area look untidy. Bristol city council should be trying to make the area look nicer. The bins also block the road. Please remove.
