BN13 is a postcode district in England situated in the southern coastal region of West Sussex. It covers an area of 15.53 square miles (40.02 km2), mainly comprising the northern parts of Worthing and Lancing, and a small part of Sompting. Its main urban centre is the town of Worthing, which is the second-biggest town in West Sussex after Chichester.

BN13 postcode lies to the south of the South Downs National Park and is one of the most popular visitor destinations in West Sussex. It includes the coastal town of Worthing, which has over 100,000 residents, and the villages of Lancing and Sompting, which have about 12,000 combined. The area is a popular destination for daytrippers and holidaymakers due to its proximity to some of the UK's most beautiful beaches.

The postcode offers good access to major road links and is near to the M25 motorway. Major cities such as London, Brighton and Portsmouth are easily reachable and the area also has regular rail connections to London.

The area enjoys a mild climate due to its proximity to the coast. However, this also brings a higher risk of flooding with the South Downs providing very little drainage. The 18 floodplains in the postcode provide excellent wildlife habitats.

BN13 postcode provides plentiful leisure and recreational activities for its residents. These include the beaches, nature trails, a leisure centre, a golf course and several parks. It also has an array of shops, cafes and bars to cater for its many visitors.

The education system in the BN13 postcode is excellent, with plenty of primary and secondary schools, as well as colleges. Worthing has two universities, the University of Chichester and Northumbria University.

The economy in the postcode is successful. The area has a strong manufacturing sector, as well as thriving tourism, engineering and IT industries. The area is also home to the headquarters of two major international companies: the consumer goods manufacturer Unilever and the global hospitality company Whitbread.

BN13 postcode offers a wonderful environment to live and work, with many recreational activities and excellent transport links. The area also boasts excellent schools and universities, and traditional industries, as well as modern manufacturing and service industries.
