Metal post has been removed, 14th April

Sun, 14 Apr 2024 17:08:10 +0100
53.829157 -1.781615

The site photographed used to have a locked, removable metal post that stopped cars driving up to the tennis courts and bowling green at the bottom of Northcliffe park. I'd like the lockable post that used to stop cars driving up into Northcliffe to be replaced please. Since the post has been removed and people are now starting to drive cars up to the bowling green and tennis courts and parking in the pedestrian areas here. This is a main thoroughfare for dogwalkers and people wanting to get away into nature for a while. Besides creating an access issue it's just not nice having cars parked in the park.

Tree Preservation Order application, 14th April

Sun, 14 Apr 2024 16:58:34 +0100
53.828844 -1.781476

I would like the row of copper beech trees that lie between the terrace identified on the map and the tennis courts behind to be protected. They are shown in the photo. 1. We live on Bradford road where the pollution levels exceed the recommended levels. We have two children with respiratory problems and anti-pollution effect of these tree is important to us. 2. The tennis courts are used daily by groups from the community. The trees are ancient and beautiful. It would have a devastating impact on the local environment if they were to be removed. 3. They provide important shade for the houses next to them. 4. A wide range of wildlife is supported by the trees.

Inconsiderate parking, 21st March

Thu, 21 Mar 2024 09:32:33 +0000
53.817817 -1.750644

Due to a near by school, parents abandon cars on lyncroft. The also reduce Poplars Park Road to a single lane by parking on the pavement on both sides of the road. Restricting not only vehicle access for all residents but creates a risk to prodestrians with limited pavement and potential injury from vehicle movements and open of vehicle doors. This happens twice a day at start and finish times. This has been reported on numerous occasions by numerous residents. With nothing being none to resolve the issue. Does someone have to substance an injury before action is taken

Faulty speed camera, 6th February

Tue, 06 Feb 2024 17:04:40 +0000
53.807312 -1.765924

I was travelling towards Shipley/Saltaire/Skipton from Bradford along Manningham Lane today (BD8) 06.02.2024 between 15:30 and 15:50 and a speed camera flashed between my vehicle which was behind a post office van, so no vehicle was on the lines, and there were no vehicles travelling the opposite way. Myself and the post office vehicle were doing less than 20 mph if not less than 10mph because of traffic and as I said there were no cars travelling the opposite way. I’m concerned the camera is faulty and will pick me up as speeding which wasn’t the case at all because of traffic, but also because there were no other vehicles travelling over the speed monitoring lines when it flashed. I have dash cam footage of required.

Footpath very slippery with deadleaves, 5th January

Fri, 05 Jan 2024 15:09:44 +0000
53.818597 -1.804311

Bingley Road from its junction with Thorn Lane to the junction with Rylands Grove is covered in dead leaves. In places the leaves are sodden with water running off the playing field and consequently are very slippery for pedestrians. To avoid this hazard we have to walk on the carriageway when safe to do so. Bingley Road at this point is a 40 mph limit so is very hazardous for pedestrians.
