BD15 has good transport links including two railway stations, Frizinghall and Shipley and is served by two bus routes linking the city centre to other outlying areas like Shipley, Keighley and Skipton. This gives the local community easy access to places of work, leisure, education and shopping.

The local economy benefits from the shops, restaurants and other associated amenities provided in the area. Additionally, BD15 is known for its nightlife, as the area boasts several clubs, pubs and bars.
