These sites represent amongst others the area's rich diversity of wildlife and ecology. The area is also an important habitat for species such as the nationally scarce Wood Tiger moth, Gander Water crowfoot and increasingly rare lapwing.
The BH24 postcode includes some of the characteristically English areas of the Avon Valley and Moors Valley. Moors Valley Country Park lies in parts of both the BH23 and BH24 postcodes and features a range of wooded and open habitats, with a number of walking and cycle trails for visitors.
