The B7 postcode covers the area of Birmingham located in the West Midlands of England. It is a district located to the east of the city centre and is bordered by Aston to the south, Aston Manor to the west, Erdington to the north, and Saltley to the east.

The area was registered in the 18th century and became part of Birmingham City in 1891. It is one of the smallest postcodes which is contained within the city. It is home to a wide range of different industries and was historically home to some of Birmingham's major employers such as Henry Hoole and Yarrow Packaging.

The area has experienced rapid development over the past few decades, with a variety of different housing types and vibrant communities filling the area. It does, however, still retain a significant amount of industry, such as Aston Manor Brewery and the Tarmac Materials Centre.

There is a wide range of different local amenities in the area. These include Aston Church, which is one of the oldest churches in Birmingham, and Aston Park which is a public park that stretches along the north-west boundary of the district. There are also a variety of shopping and leisure facilities located in the area, such as a Tesco Superstore, a bowling alley, and a number of pubs and restaurants.

The majority of schools in the B7 area are administered by the Birmingham City Council. Popular comprehensive schools include the Ward End Secondary School and the Bassfield Primary School, as well as numerous secondary schools. These provide a range of curriculum options for local students of all ages.

Finally, there are a number of transport links available which connect the B7 area to the greater Birmingham area. Buses run frequently from the district to the city centre and the area is also serviced by numerous train and tram lines. The M6 motorway and the Aston Expressway also provide important links to other parts of the city.
