The area has two main shopping areas, Bearwood High Street and Bristnall Fields Shopping Centre, which provide a range of shops and amenities for local residents. There are also a range of leisure facilities in the vicinity, such as public parks, football, tennis and golf courses.

There are a number of schools in the B67 district, including Bearwood Primary School and Bristnall Hall Academy. The area is also served by the 224, 225 and 227 bus routes.

The area has a diverse population, consisting of people from different ethnic backgrounds, including an increasingly large Asian community. The area also contains a number of religious places of worship, including the Auchenback Mosque, Bearwood Methodist Church and Warley Baptist Church.

The B67 postcode has a significant industrial heritage, with the former site of the British Riley car factory located within the district. This site is now a car store and service garage, while the former works towards the top of Warley Road is now used as a recycling centre.

More recently a number of regeneration projects have taken place in the area, with funding from Sandwell Council, including improvements to Bearwood High Street, a new housing development on Bearwood Road and improvements to the outside of Warley Baptist Church.

The area is also home to the Bearwood Activity Centre, a community centre with a café, meeting rooms, offices and sports facilities. The centre is open to all local residents and regularly holds events, such as youth football sessions, theatre performances and summer holiday activities.
